Peer Feedback & Improvements I Am Going To Make
- My front cover and contents page had good effects that stood out and looked good, this is good because it will draw readers to look at the magazine and convince them to buy the magazine.
- My magazine has a good layout, that is simple and not to complex. I have done this because if it was to complex and all over the place then it wouldn't look very professional, resulting in not many sales of the magazine or readers.
- In my magazine I need to display the genre better because my peers were getting confused on what the genre was. I will do this by using mise-en-scene, this will change the costumes that the band are wearing on the front cover, contents and my double page spread. I will use costumes that will represent the indie/rock genre to represent my genre and to make sure that the reader knows that the genre of my magazine is indie/rock.
- I also need to add more sell lines onto my front cover because I have gaps in my front cover and only have 3 sell lines on the cover, so I will add more sell lines to my cover to make sure that I draw the reader in.
- I also need to differentiate my font sizes because my masthead had the same size font as my main sell line and all of my other sell lines. I need to do this because the main two parts of the front cover are the masthead and the main sell line, so I need these to stand out. Also I will need certain words to stand out such as 'Exclusive' because it will draw the readers attention and is a main part of the magazine.
- After feedback about my genre and changing the costumes I will also need to focus on the colours that I use. I have found a colour pallete of different 'indie' colours. Below is the Pallete:
